Apply to receive tuition assistance through the Early Childhood Tuition Assistance (ECTA) grant at the University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies, funded by the NH Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration!
Spring Term Application opens November 18th, 2024.
Available to NH Childcare Workers
ECTA is available to individuals working in NH-licensed centers, including:
- Teachers working a minimum of 20 hours per week in a NH licensed out-of-school time or childcare center
- Out-of-school time teachers working a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Directors working a minimum of 30 hours per week in a NH licensed out-of-school time or childcare center
100% Coverage of ECE Tuition for Select Courses
Tuition assistance is offered for one course per semester.
100% of tuition is covered for the first Early Childhood Education course: PSY 470, PSY 480, PSY 525, EDC 601, EDC 506, EDC 716. 50% tuition is awarded for subsequent Early Childhood Education Courses. See below for a full list of eligible courses offered during the upcoming term.
Students are responsible for all course materials and the $94 academic services and registration fee. Students do not need to be enrolled in a degree program to receive the grant and take courses.
Important Information Regarding This Grant:
Applications will be reviewed as received. Applications fill fast, so apply early.
The awarded money will be removed from the student's account, and they will be billed for the total cost of the course for the following reasons:
- Students withdraw from the course after the add/drop period
- Students do not participate in the course after registering
- Students stop participating in the course after registering
- Students do not receive a passing grade in the course
Are You Currently Enrolled at a Different College?
If you attend one of the seven community colleges in New Hampshire, you may still enroll in one of these courses as a non-degree student. Connect with an advisor to ensure the course will transfer to your bachelor’s degree. Unfortunately, the grant is only available to UNH College of Professional Studies and CCSNH students.
